Wi-fi Interrupted

Wi-Fi Interrupted is a YA speculative novel adapted from a screenplay by M. C. Convery.

Twin sisters Mel and Echo have lived in the shadow of their father’s disappearance for a decade. Their father was a quirky professor and self-proclaimed inventor who died in a plane crash while flying over the Bermuda Triangle. He was carrying the Neurosync—a mind-link device that simulated time travel through neural immersion. Most people thought it was a hoax.

On the tenth anniversary of his disappearance, the family embarks on a cruise over the same waters. Mel is bold, fame-chasing, and desperate for attention. She stages a viral video stunt where she leaps overboard as her sister films… and vanishes.

Echo, quiet and introspective, knows in her gut that her sister isn’t dead. Their telepathic connection has always been more than just twin intuition. So she follows, launching a daring rescue that leads her straight into a hidden magnetic loop known as Eden Island.

Mel, now trapped on the island, meets Johnny, a surfer-guitarist who’s been stuck there since 1979. He hasn’t aged a day since. Mel finds herself becoming best friends with Amelia Earhart. She helps Johnny stop King James from committing suicide. She learns what she needs from Nikola Tesla… the stuck souls who were misunderstood.

As time stands still, Mel confronts the painful truth behind her obsession with fame. She also realizes the deeper legacy her father left behind. Only Echo’s closeness can reactivate the bond between them. Together, the sisters must master the Neurosync, journey into the past, and rewrite the future—not only to save each other, but to return the island’s trapped souls to their rightful place in time.
